Cheese Ma'amul

  • 1 kg flour
  • 500 g margarine or butter
  • 40 g Jena milk (i.e. 2 packets of Jena Milk/ 22 g)
  • 125 g sugar powder
  • 1 tablespoon of melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon of rosewater
  • 1 teaspoon of orange flower water
  • 1 packet of Jena Cream

For Filling:
1 kg mozzarella cheese or Akawi cheese

For Garnishing:
Sugar powder (crushed)

How to prepare:
1. Margarine or butter should be stirred with the sugar in a kneader (or blender) until the mixture becomes creamy,
2. The cream, rosewater, orange flower water, Jena Milk Powder and water should be added while whipping the mixture for one minute,
3. Flour should be mixed slightly until it becomes a mixture. Whipping should not take a long time. The lesser the whipping time is, the better it would be,
4. Leave the mixture for one hour,
5. The dough should be softened by hands and divided into balls,
6. About 50 g of dough should be taken and opened from the middle by hands,
7. It should be filled with 70 g of mozzarella cheese and put in the Ma'amul mold,
8. Ma'amul should be kept in the refrigerator for at least one hour,
9. Ma'amul should be baked in the oven at 175 ° C directly until it gains light brown color.
10. To serve Cheese Ma'amul: It should be put in a dish and served at once with sugar powder sprinkled on its top.
